Open Question: What should I expect from physical therapy?

When I was around 5 years old, I suffered a fracture right below my left elbow. I'm not sure which bone it was, but one of the two in my forearm.

So, fast forward to today. I'm 22 years old and dealing with constant pain in my arm. I also have only 20 degrees of supination. My thumb is, basically, standing straight up. My palm can't face up.

Finally having acquired health insurance, I went to the doctor about it. He recommended I take some physical therapy, and I'm going to start that on the 17th. I also have an appointment with a surgeon who I'll talk with about other options.

Mainly what I'm wondering about is the pain. What's it going to be like? Is it going to hurt terribly? I'm expecting a lot of pain, I'm just worried. It hurts normally, and I just don't know if the added pain from PT will be worth it.

Thanks, guys.
