Open Question: Practical advice for moving to Guernsey from the UK?
I'm moving to Guernsey in a couple of weeks. The Princess Elizabeth Hospital, where I will be working, has arranged rented accommodation for me to move into. I need advice on things like - landline, broadband, mobile phone providers? Also, i'm under the impression that primary healthcare is NOT free and health insurance can be purchased to cover this (GP visits, ambulance, A+E) but secondary care is free, or covered by the tax that I pay. Is this accurate? Is it necessary to purchase health insurance, if so - from who?
