Open Question: What documents should I take on my road trip?

I'm taking a road trip in the US. I'm not traveling abroad at all, but I'm going to be on the road for 2-3 weeks and want to be sure I'm covered. Besides the standard driver's license, car insurance, and registration, the only things I can think of would be confirmation numbers for hotels/activities and my health insurance card. Seems too simple.

Am I missing anything? This is my first trip without my parents to look after me :)
