Open Question: Do you have a right to an itemized medical bill in CA?

Please note this is not a question where I am asking what would you do. I'm asking is there a law requiring the health care provider, or its billing dept, to provide an itemized bills with dates, services and billing codes in CA? Ppl assume way too much. Such as the insurance company may provide that to U. Think ppl, what would U do if the provider disagreed with the insurance company and decided to sue U? So, I want to what law gives a patient the right to see a fully itemized bill sent directly from the provider to U? No advice please just answers to the legal requirement and where I might find it. Thank U...
