Open Question: Rick Santorum says that sick people with pre-existing conditions should be charged more for healthcare...?

Since cerebral palsy is a preexisting" condition", should I be charged more for health care by the existing brand of insurance companies and be denied coverage under their policy--because I was born different?

Or how about the fact I was diagnosed with a blood-clotting disorder out of the blue six years ago? The end result of a genetic heritage passed down through my family and *not* as the result of poor health choices? (As Rick Santorum alleges.)

I don't know about the rest of you, but at some point, I get the feeling that I'm going to be *battling* the health care companies for coverage in the near future because they don't want to cover people with preexisting conditions.

Thoughts?
