Open Question: How/where do I get tested for hypothyroidism?



I live in Gainesville, Florida & believe I have hypothyroidism and want to get tested for it. I do not have a primary physician & no health insurance.

Where can I get tested for this? Is this something that the health department could do?

Some of my symptoms include: Weight gain (largely in the stomach area) that is near impossible to lose, fatigue, brittle/peeling nails, fine /thinning hair, wounds that heal slowly, constipation, low to none sex drive, & dry skin.
