Open Question: Great Dane Puppy Health Questions....?

Hello!!! We recently added a 6 week old Dane to our family. This is the first Dane we have owned and Im well aware of their potential risks to many different health factors i.e. Bloat, Hip Dysplasia Etc. Im looking into getting pet health insurance for our new addition but Im curious if I should jump on getting it NOW or wait until she gets a little older like 6 months or a year. Im not sure when these problems arise....Any suggestions. Any advice? Things you wish you would have known when you were raising a Dane? I do plan on spaying her and I know to not let her be overly active before and after eating. I also know not to feed puppy chow. I have done research before we got this breed but since I do not know anyone who actually owns or has owned a Dane I would love to hear anything that might be of help/not general knowledge. Thanks! AND YES, SHE IS 6 WEEKS OLD. DONT JUMP ON ME FOR THAT ONE. If you are not going to be generally helpful then just keep moving on....
