Open Question: Doesn't the whole contraception controversy highlight how ineffective the US healthcare system is?
Most Americans, including most Catholics don't even believe that contraception is bad, but now, potentially thousands of Americans would be forced to be in an employer's health insurance, and not be able to get the contraception they want or need.
Why are Catholic organizations offering health care in the first place? Why is any employer offering any health care? I'm not surprised that employers love this legislation. It opens the door for employers to ration and pick and choose what they want to cover and what they don't want to cover.
